Parish Council > Public Participtaion
Members of the public are very welcome to attend any of the Parish Council meetings. However, they cannot take part in the proceedings of the council.
If there is some issue on which they want to express their views in person, there is an item on the agenda for Public Participation.
Parishioners will be given 5 minutes per speaker with a maximum time of 15 minutes for this item. The Chairman will be the only Councillor able to respond directly to the parishioner. No dialogue can take place between the parishioner and other Councillors during the meeting.
Once Standing Orders are resumed, Councillors can discuss what they have heard and decide on a course of action. The parishioner will not be able to make any further comment during the meeting.
